Morocco: Could it be you?
Dateline Marrakesh: It was hot. The kids were cranky. And we were off visiting yet one more piece of land in Marrakesh. We weren’t hopeful because we had been told that the land was quite big – much bigger than we had considered before: nearly 12 acres.
We got to the location. The area was very desirable. Hmmm…the piece of land was spacious, very spacious. Plenty of room for a guest house, or three or four guest houses for that matter. There were trees, mostly olive, and a few fig trees. The trees weren’t in great shape, and the land was hard and cracked. Apparently nothing had been watered for months. There was a construction crew building next door on the right. We asked and found out that the neighbor was the manager of one of Marrakesh’s luxury hotels. My husband, Chris, went wandering down the other direction and reported that there was a Bentley parked at the house on the left.
We inquired about the price. As was expected, the price was much higher than we had budgeted for, not surprising, because it was so much land.
It was too expensive. It was out of the question. Yet, I couldn’t help but wonder if this land, maybe, just maybe…..was the one.

You know that you'll know the right place when you see it, right? You won't have to wonder.
Though, I really wish you guys would find a plot already, as I'm really looking forward to reading about the construction phase (not that this stuff isn't fun to read about... you know what I mean, right?).
