Morocco: Marrakesh magic
Well you know my penchant for all things magical. So of course I couldn't resist a Tarot card reading online. Is there some little inkling of truth therein? Could there be? Might there be? Or is it all made up nonsense?
I believe that there are two ways to live your life: you can choose to believe in magic or you can choose not to. Now when I say magic, I don't necessarily mean spells and hexes (although I find all that fascinating) but I mean magic as when you ask a child, "Do you believe in magic?" I believe we can see magic in things that we do and the people that we meet. I think of magic as a kind of spark that makes something or someone special. Last night, during yet another power outage (also known as the revenge of the runaway truck driver), I was lighting candles with my son, Tristan. I dripped the candle wax on the top of a little stone pedestal and settled the candle firmly into the wax where it stood perfectly straight. Tristan clapped his hands and exclaimed "Magic!" To which I smiled and replied "Yes." My Irish blogging friend Paul wrote me an email recently saying "I like your flights of fantasy (or reality, I'm not sure)." Hmmm...my flights of fantasy? Maybe it's my attempts to create a little Marrakesh magic.
So now back to the Tarot Card. Here is the one I picked, supposed to represent me. Is there any truth therein? Maybe not. But then again, maybe so....
You are The High Priestess
Science, Wisdom, Knowledge, Education.
The High Priestess is the card of knowledge, instinctual, supernatural, secret knowledge. She holds scrolls of arcane information that she might, or might not reveal to you. The moon crown on her head as well as the crescent by her foot indicates her willingness to illuminate what you otherwise might not see, reveal the secrets you need to know. The High Priestess is also associated with the moon however and can also indicate change or fluctuation, particularly when it comes to your moods.
