Marrakech: and reaching for grace under pressure

When it all goes wrong......When no landscaper can be found...When the counter tops arrive stained....When the olive grove's pump is broken.......When the tile man steals money.......When the doors are put in askew.....When the pool is empty and the credit card full.....

that's when the blogging girl tries to keep some perspective....

when she tells herself that there is magic everywhere....

Blog_5

if she just takes the time to see it....

Blog_6

when she reminds herself that the important things have nothing to do with cement, and bricks, and deadlines....

but are clad in pink and wear high heels....

Blog_2
and just as bad luck blows in with the wind......so too, will it be swept away......

Blog_12

if she is just patient....

I needed to read this today. You are completely right :)

oh dear...when everythings goes wrong, it always comes in many folds. Here's wishing that everything will be much better by next week and love the posts on the girls..now what do they know about problems right? how nice to be young, cute and girly..:)

Yes! The wind will sweep it away...and bring with it...straight doors, more money, a LUSH garden, and a full pool to swim in. And when you are done...please send the wind my way to swoooosh my credit card debts back to the Universe too!
Maryam is a RICH woman!!! (Positive affirmations.)
xoxo

Hey Maryam - long time since I left a message here but I had to write and say you are magic girl. Bumps in the road make for a very savory arrival.......I am sending many positive thoughts your way.
Christine

There is no more stress in this world than in trying to build a house, or three. It will pass, one day the pool will be full, the trees laden with olives, the sun shining and it won't matter that the doors are askew because you are surrounded by little pink fairies and you have a pool to swim in.

One day. Soon. x

Skylar is as positive and beautiful as her Mom. She will be alright because the magic of Peacock Pavilion is in her.

Maryam, seriously, it will be fine, the tide will turn. Hang in there my friend.

I'm love your site, but tend to lurk without leaving comments. You give me inspiration every day. My list of little 'nightmares' is as long as yours and I can merely try and solve them one by one. Hope you have a blog that you read every day that inspires you like yours does to me.

beautiful pictures and beautiful sentiments. we too are knee-deep in a building project and it is STRESSFUL at times. thanks for reminding me slow down and remember what's important!! :-)

You're right...when there are pink fairy wings, not all things are bad...

Blogger Girl, You have your health, your family is well & all that is more important than deadlines & schedule. The rest will follow because you have persevereance...karma will prevail because the universe "knows". Have FAITH & TRUST in the POWERS that BE. You are going through a minor glitch which will make you appreciate the final result when it all comes together.

I am going to redecorate my whole house so I can have pink curtains like those... gorgeous!
From a distance your life seems positively charmed. I am sure there are difficult times, too. But the charmed part is still there. Hang in.

Thinking of you and sending good fortune your way from New York. In the meantime, I think you have the right idea - pink makes everything better. xoxo, P.

You are elegance at it's finest!

Fairies rule. Everything else is just road blocks.

Hang in there Maryam! We go through these things so we can look back and realize how we've learned and grown!

Maryam - I lurk nowadays. Work has been so mad that I just haven't been writing. I want you to know that I admire all that you are doing. It will work out, even if it may look slightly different than what you anticipate.

((hug))

How adorable. With your magnificant spirit, magic is possible.

Chin up, blogging girl, things will work themselves out soon. And you're so right, it's hard to stay sad with so much color and beauty around you - you just have to keep your eyes open!

With that beautiful little pink fairy princess twirling around Peacock Pavillions and those lovely pink drapes blowing in the breeze, I am sure the magic you need is on its way to you.

Perhaps it is already there!

What a magical place, complete with the loveliest little pink-frocked fairies and even pinker billowing curtains (love those!)
On Morocco time that lets you smell the lovely roses in Marrakech - while eventually everything else will fall gently into place.

Now the skies could fall
Not even if my boss should call
The world it seems so very small
'Cause nothing even matters at all

Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters at all
Nothing even matters
Nothing even matters at all
-Lauryn Hill.

Sending you love and hugs, Maryam.

Everything is gonna be all right.

You are so right. The things that matter are not material they are soft and lovely to cuddle.

Yes, there is magic everywhere. ;-)

Paz

Beautifully true.

I am sending fluffy grey puppy, dancing yellow leaves, bright green grass and deep blue sky magics winging their way to you.
