She was off.........to Rwanda. Today.
This morning, in her school uniform, her small daughter cried and clung to her. Please don't go, she said. Please stay. Please go to Rwanda another day........Her mother stroked her hair, she whispered in her ear, she promised to tell her stories unlike any others about a place unlike any others....
Her daughter listened quietly, she looked up at her, she patted her hand, she kissed her cheek. Then she said, Goodbye, Mommy. See you after Rwanda. And she picked up her book bag, and looking back once, then twice, she walked out the door..........
