Oh dear. My trip to Egypt was a bit more eventful than I had hoped. On the way to the airport late at night, I was in a car accident and missed my flight. The flight was re-booked and off to Cairo I went again, but this time via Milan (where shopping therapy proved helpful for my aching back). Upon arrival in Egypt…no luggage. But now the universe is as it should be. Jangled nerves soothed and with a glass of Egyptian hibiscus juice in hand, I write to you looking out from the balcony of my room at the Old Winter Palace in Luxor. So lovely. The gardens are nothing short of exquisite. I gaze out over the palms and fountains and think how very pleasant it must have been to be Egyptian queen…
