She drank a Primus. And then a second one. She thought it would make her feel better.
The beer was terrible. And she didn't feel better.
She left the lights on so she wouldn't be afraid. But she still couldn't sleep.
She couldn't stop thinking -- a sickening tape running through her mind. Over and over. And over.
It started out fine.
She did what she was told.
And then they were off.
The time passed.
Night fell.
Until it was all pink.
They drew close.
And then it all went so fast.
She was there.
Maybe if she knew then what she knows now, she would have gotten back on the plane, and gone home.
She was off.........to Rwanda. Today.
This morning, in her school uniform, her small daughter cried and clung to her. Please don't go, she said. Please stay. Please go to Rwanda another day........Her mother stroked her hair, she whispered in her ear, she promised to tell her stories unlike any others about a place unlike any others....
Her daughter listened quietly, she looked up at her, she patted her hand, she kissed her cheek. Then she said, Goodbye, Mommy. See you after Rwanda. And she picked up her book bag, and looking back once, then twice, she walked out the door..........

The gypsy family and sidekicks climbed to the terrace......the Moroccan roof terrace of Riad Cascade d'Ouzoud.
The terrace was settled around the internal courtyard, adding dimension and discovery.......
It was all so......rustic Moroccan chic......Oh, the low white Moroccan banquettes (vinyl...oh so practical...)..........
There were yellow tables.........there was a yellow tiled floor....There was seating for gypsy best friends.........
There were plants.......(why of course)............
And there were yellow Moroccan lanterns........here and there.........
They made themselves comfortable....
Night fell.......and the Moroccan roof terrace took on a different allure.........
An almond-eyed gypsy boy came out from the shadows ..........like a moth to a flame.........
A fair haired gypsy girl gazed at the candle, transfixed...........
Meanwhile, gypsy parents and their friends drank wine and chatted idly of upcoming caravan journeys to Timbuktu........(sigh, okay really of mortgages and dreams) ........
The night grew blacker, the candles flickered low, and even the stars began to fall asleep.........
