After a 29 hour odyssey in airports and airplanes, she was home. In Morocco. But her thoughts, her wishes, were still in Rwanda.
She wished for Rwanda....
.....a future as bright and shiny as a tiny girl all dressed in blue.
She wished for Rwanda....
....childhoods filled only with wonder.
She wished for Rwanda....
....family and friendships that would never be torn apart.
She wished for Rwanda....
...extra laughter...because they deserved their fair share.
She wished for Rwanda....
.....boys who would grow up to be kind men.
She wished for Rwanda....
....an education system that would teach that we are all the same on the inside.
She wished for Rwanda....
....young women who would never experience unfathomable suffering.
She wished for Rwanda....
....places of worship (whichever they may be) that would never turn a blind eye in times of need.
She wished for Rwanda....
....many caring and helping hands.
She wished for Rwanda......
......long lives filled with happy memories.
She wished for Rwanda...
....the true and lasting kind.
But most of all...she wished for Rwanda....
